Day selection help please!!

I would be most grateful for your expert help

I have designed a H&S cross for a month via multiple text boxes.

I have conditionally formatted the colour to be green for no incident and red for an incident.

In addition to this, if a user were to click on the day with a red indication, it brings up another object with incident detail for that day.

I need assistance with two things please:

1. On the example, if you click on RED 21, an object will pop up with the incident information for this day.

To remove the object you currently have to click on any day again and also the day remains in current selection

EVEN though the object has disappeared. What I would like to do is select 21 and see the object but then select

22 and it swap to detail for 22, also updating the current selection box.

2. If current day is only 20, then make all future boxes WHITE. Also remove and add day 31 dependent on month ?

Any help with all or ever part of the above would be very much appreciated !!
