      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;It works on my computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First, you need to rename the field back to Sales_Update, so that QlikView "finds" the mapping again. Once this is done, you can rename the field in the script again, and then it works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What has happened is probably that you renamed and added a field at the same time, and then the field mapping is lost.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;HIC&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

In this case, there is no way for QlikView to “know” which field is which, without making an analysis of the &lt;EM&gt;field values&lt;/EM&gt; before and after the script run. And this, QlikView doesn't do.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The logic is simple: If you keep the names the same, but change the order, e.g.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; A, B, C, D&amp;nbsp; --&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp; A, D, C, B&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;then it works. And if you keep the order and change one or several field names, e.g.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; A, B, C, D&amp;nbsp; --&amp;gt;&amp;nbsp; A, E, C, F&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;then it also works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But if you make more complex changes, it doesn't work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;HIC&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
