Access point on the web and its Data retrieval method

Hi all,

I would like to understand the method in which the Web UI interacts with the Qlikview server.

Lets say I have a QVW loaded with data about 100 MB.

when some end user opens this model using an access point in explorer and he selects several filters,

how does the mechanism of slicing the data and showing the output works?

does it transfer all the data (100 MB or less due to the slice) to the web and does the calculations or it calculates everything on the server and just shows the result?
