Does CAL doing the authorization work ??

Hey,

If i am not wrong, in qlikview we give authorization to documents to be seen by different users. Then , how does CAL's allow user to see a particular document ?? I mean does CAL doing the authorization work ??

Hi, what kind of license are you give?

the user that you want to see a particular document have named user or document cal user license?

try to read this manual, the part of cal user and named user

there are different type of CAL

one of this, document cal can be used to give a user (one user) a license to see a document (one document); this is managed in the QMC

but to see the doc the user also needs the authorization for that doc; for authorization Qlik uses Windows or DMS

In DMS auth Qlik manages the auth

In Windows auth you have to set the permission on file (Qlik doc) or folder
