About State condition in sorting

KJKL Hi this is varma surendranath, iam having doubt on sorting, here i go for sort tab in charts, there the checkup box for state is defaulty marked. i checked to get result by changing state order but i did not get any result. so plz solve my doubt.

I guess your basic doubt would be cleared once you know 'State'. here state refers to 'Selection State'. That means when a value is selected in listbox, the state would take the selected value as priority ('active' in state). Hence, if you check state 'Ascending', the selected values would be shown first, if 'descending' then last. Hope this helps you understand.
