How do I display a bookmark name in a text object ?

Hi Everybody,

I want to be able to display the name of the current bookmark selected in a text object. How do I code for this ?

I'm unable to download external files at my workplace. Do you have browser-displayed instructions I can follow to create whatever it is you've created in Bookmark Name.qvw ?

How do I create a macro ? (I've never done this before !)

Do I have to link the macro to an object ?

It will be created automatically when you create call macro.,

A) After you call macro test file will be created and your application will be reloaded.

Then you need to create table box with ID and name.

I'm confused !

I've created a macro and linked it to the button. But when I run it nothing seems to happen. Where does it create the test.txt file ? Where am I looking ?

Also, do I create a table box object on the sheet ? And where does this ID come from ? Do I make up any name ? How do they link to the names of my bookmarks ?

I think you are assuming I know how to do all this.

Hi,

There are two actions in a button One to call bookmark bm, another to call bookmark reload.

You will find the text file in the same location as that of your QlikView file.

I have attache a live example, you can open it from some other network or probably from home to see how it works.

I tried the qvw you sent, but no " test.txt" file is created, so also the reload obviously fails
