NPrinting Connection

Hi all.

I'm just trying to set myself up on NPrinting and yesterday when I tested it everything was fine. However today, when I have set everything up I am having one issue.

On the Reporting Task section, I have set everything up but the Connection box is greyed out and it wont let me select one, even though I have set a connection up.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Hello Karl,

If you have already created a report then no need to set up a connection in the task. What you should be doing is Click on Reports next to General button and add the reports from there. You can also create a new report if not already created and specify the connection there.

Hi.

To create connections qlik on Sources. Then create it.

On you report you don't create but use connections.

If you only have a connection, the logical thing is that your report is using that one.

NPrinting has a little hard interface.

I wish you all very good luck, and to myself too.

Still I think is better than doing the macro myself after a rich meal, like beans & rice & more beans & more rice, everything together with sour cream and more sour cream.

Leave the beer for tomorrow when you have finish your job.

Cheers for the help guys, I think I know what I should be doing but my issue is that the box where you select the connection is grey-ed out.

I've even tried to create a new template and I cant select anything from there either.

I've tried setting up a new connection but it seems like none of them are being picked up

Hi.

I have a connection. It's set up a default connection. Now I go to reports. I see a report on the list. I select it. In the lower box I read: Connection: My Document.

Now, I go to reports. I create a new one. Then I qlik on new template. I clik everything. I save as, I save it, I save and close it, even I pray.

Then I go to the list. I see my new report. I see on the lower properties box, Connection: I see nothing. Absolutely nothing is what I see. Oh my god! Where is the connection. You are right. It is broken or I don't know how to use it.

Well, I have to leave you, I almost finished my first 15 sheets report.

And, If I don't know, then, how I came to this point, cause my report is connected and I did it myself.

I know the interface is bit confusing and hard to understand. Hope this doc helps.

I have this one. Unfortunatelly is in only in Spanish.

Also there is the NPrinting site with on-line and downloadable tutorials.

The thing is that sometimes I follow a chapter line by line and It still does not work.

Good man. The connection is created when you go into the template and right click to add an object.
