I have the same problem as you. Removed the top bar but still need the share button outside the bar removed . I believe the solution is in opendoc.html programming with some CSS thing.

Replacement for Share Session in Ajax ?

Hi,

I am looking for a way of replicating the 'Share Session' Ajax function as a button action.

As I understand it, Share Session gives you a URL which you then send to another user to view your screen.

Can this be replicated as a macro ? If so, how ? And are there any security hurdles built into the Share Session that I have not considered ?

Many thanks for any input.

Neil

Hi Neil,

Share session only works with Ajax Client where as Macros does not work.

What are you trying to achieve here.

If you could fins a solution with macro using IE pluggin, It may not work as session sharing is only allowed with AJAX.

Regards

ASHFAQ

Share Session would require Ajax and Macro would require IE, so don't see much of hope.

Hi, Ashfaq.

What I've been asked to do is completely remove the grey Ajax toolbar and move some of the functions into the application.

I have removed the toolbar using an extension but the 'Share Sessions' function has me stuck.

Hi, Ashfaq.

Yes, this was what I used to remove/hide the full bar.

I still want to run the application in Ajax but without the grey bar. The reason for this is that we have multiple users with multiple languages which the Ajax bar doesn't support at user level.

Thanks,

Neil
