Hello

Is it possible within a QVW to have a link to another QVW as I want one dashboard refreshing once an hour, but if users require the information more reguarly, they can click on a link which automatically takes them to another dashboard which is being refreshed more reguarly

Does anyone have an example of this

Hi,

Yes I think it is possible,

You can set some actions on button/ text box object, and it should open qvw.

Ref:

Action > External > Open QlikView Document

This can be done by Document Chaining. Please check Document Chaining.

Hi.

In your case you can even use Action-->External --> Open URL as Trigger and copy Document URL from Access point.

We can open one dashboard in another dashboard.

We can create button.

Apply actions->open QVW(we can give the QVW file to which we want to open)

Only condition is both should be in one path only.

When compared to Open URL->

Using open QVW is the best.

because URL may vary from system to system(Dev-QA-Pro)

Mr.Roy...u r absolutely right...ln Actions Tab....Add>Action>External>Open Qlikview Document>Ok…………write the name of d document in Edit Expression of Document....

Dear Helen,

Here is the simple step to link another dashboard.

Step:

Button > Action > Add > Action Type "External" > Action "Launch" > OK > Application path "Browse" > Apply > OK

Hi Experts,

now am Doing the Document Chaining Every things Works Fine , but Each and Every time am getting Save Option

I mean When am Moving from Doc1 to Doc2 it is asking for Save Option like " Save Changes to Doc1.Qvw..? "

How to Avoid this Save Option....?

Plz Respond I Have very tight Deadline to close this task...
