A state holds a set of selections.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A name="kanchor186"&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/H1&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The QlikView developer can create multiple states within a QlikView document and apply these states to specific objects within the document.
