Let's say I'm showing helpdesk data. I show:

a list of tickets in one box

a list of keywords (used to classify tickets) in another

a list of associated teams in another.

I'd like to find tickets where certain words appears in the ticket title OR a certain keywording was used OR a certain team was assigned to the ticket. But clicking on these elements in Qlikview I get AND logic.

Is there a way to perform a search using OR logic?

Thanks.

I believe you could use an advanced search to filter your tickets using an OR logic.

You can use advanced search by starting your search in list box with an = (equal sign) or by invoking the advanced search dialog (CTRL+SHIFT+F).

You then might use a complex QlikView expression including logical operators. Unfortunately, the correct use or extensive examples of usage are not really well described in the HELP or the manual.

I am not sure how experienced you are in using QlikView expressions, if you have problems, we migth be able to get you started (it might be good then if you could tell us a little more about your data model or if you could post a little sample).

Regards,

Stefan

Maybe you want to take a look into this thread, too:

http://community.qlik.com/thread/7773

(So I think looking into advanced search is worth while anyway).

Regards,

Stefan
