Can anyone please suggest me how to start data modeling in qlikview from scratch, please suggest me the steps to start with like how to start analysis etc...

Below will be the steps:

1. Study your source data.

2. Identify Dimensions and facts.

3. Decide the grain of data to be loaded. (detailed or aggregated).

4. If you have more than one fact table, then have a look at below references.

5. Create design of your data model outside qlikview (on paper or any other design tool if available).

6. Write load scripts accordingly to create the designed data model in qlikview.

Hello Savitha,

This is a more conceptual question. Understanding of data model is gained through creating small hands on by yourself, going through reference materials in data modelling.
