Blank Qvd Issue

Hi,

I am faceing a strange problem . When I extract the data form database and storing it into qvd it is working fine. I can use these qvds in my applications. After some days (time) some of qvds Showing blank however size of qvd is same. It is even not fixed that particular qvd become blank. It can be any form the se of qvds. I have escalated it to Qlikview at highest level but still no resolution. Can anybody help me on this.

My server is 64 Gb Ram and 8 cpu and Windows 2008 R2.

Hi Vijay,

What version of QlikView are you running? There is a known bug in version 10 SR4 that fixes a similar problem:

43002
Empty fields while loading from qvd files with qv10. Worked correctly with qv 9

Try upgrading, or opening the QVD in a different computer.

Hi Miguel,

I am using QV 10 SR3. Also QV R&D team has provided some patch but still facing same problem. Now they are saying it is Hardware Issue. I dont understand wats going on. If I am moving blank qvd to different machine or open with different version it in not working anywhere. Also it looks like 1 field from qvd get corrupted because if I use LOAD Field1,Field2,Field3.. instead of LOAD * and try to remove one by one field from load a point comes when it start relaoding so it looks only one field is culprit but difficult to find that field.

Hi Vijay,

Let us know in any case how do you solve that. I didn't make myself clear above: the issue was detected on SR3 and reported as fixed in SR4. Did you try upgrading even only one computer and running the script there to see if that actually solves your problem?

It is not yet sorted and this problem is on only one machine. Other machine with same Qv version are working fine .
