Hi all,

I'm trying to download and figure out to work with a free map extension for QV documents.

As I understand, most of them take country coordinates from KML files I can find on the Internet.

1. Can you suggest a good KML file for countries?

2. How do I adjust countries from KML file to my countries dimension??? In KML file it all looks like a huge set of numbers...

I've also tried GeoQlik trial version.

What do you think about it?

Thank you!

Hi Linoy

First of all there is big differences comparing any google api for maps and geoqlik, i think that geoqlik is huge and you can not only do simple maps using coordinate, it is more than that

I think that you have to think what kind of map do you want and then know all the posible solutions.

I attached a qvw that i think would help you, it create the coordenate automatic , you only have to put the place, the reference that you want to be show in the map.

see the attached, hope this help

Good Luck

Fernando

Thank you, Fernando,

but I can't see a map, I can only see dots on the imaginary map when I choose addresses...

I don't really care what kind of map implementation to use - I just need it to be easy and free

I understand that Google API is not free...

I saw a few map solutions here in the blog. The only thing I didn't understand was finding and adjusting KML file to my country dimension. I know the country names should match, but where I see country names in KML file?
