Set an alert off when i press a button

Hi all.

I am creating a dashboard for my client and have hit a bit of a speed up I have created an alert that will run automatically if the text is altered which works great but my client now wants to analyse the results before an email is sent and then if they feel that there is more investigation needed they wish to click on a button to activate the Alert, does any one have any ideas how I can build this in.

Set a variable....

Let vVar=0

Button have action to set variable vVar=1(External action)

On Mgs Alert text box set conditional dispalyed when vVar=1
