Introducing the QlikView Deployment Framework

Qlikview Architecture by QlikTech

Generally Qlikview apps are developed using 3 architectures,

1 Tier or layer

2 Tier or layer

3 Tier or layer

In 1 Tier, all the Data Extraction scripts, Transformations and Presentation (charts) are done with in same qlikview file.

In 2 Tier, all the Data Extraction is done and stored in QVD files in one Qlikview file and Transformation and Presentation using QVD files generated in previous file are done with in another Qlikview file.

In 3 Tier, Data Extraction is done and stored in QVD files in on Qlikview file, Transformation is done using Qlikview files in another file, Presentation is done in another file using Binary load of Transformed Qlikview file.

1-Tier Architecture is the simplest, single tier on single user, in which all the required Data Extraction scripts, Transformations are located within that file.

2-Tier Architectures supply a basic network between a client and a server. In this Data Extraction scripts and tranformations are stored in different unlike 1 tier Architecture.
