First of all you need the longitude and latitude values of the state in the file and for more follow the steps in the documents.

there are some propertyes that you have to put in your object, in the tab eje there are some check and things that you have to put if you want to works ok the maps

see the qvw i put them, the only thing is missing now is get the correct longitude and latitude from the web that you want to get it.

other thing is that you put longitude and latitude as a dimension, and they have to be as an expression (and not dimension) in the dimension could be the state name or the state id for example
