topic add variable to SQL in load in QlikView

I have a SQL statement that i run manually from my system with a parameter of MONTH. It prompts me and I add whichever month I happen to be querying. I would like to implement this in Qlikview with a variable for MONTH and a counter so that I can say, IF COUNT < 5, COUNT ++ and IF COUNT = 1, MONTH = 'JAN'. Is there any way to use such logic in a load statement?
