    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Let me try to make it simple...&lt;BR /&gt;Say, you have a numeric field Amount, and you have field Year.&amp;nbsp; Need to find a maximum amount among the years.&amp;nbsp; It can be done using aggr():&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;max(aggr(sum(Amount),Year))&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That is, you aggregate sum(Amount) by Year, and find max after that.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;And, read "help" &lt;IMG src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/emoticons/happy.png" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
