I think an interviewer will always like to see how you have used functions or logic in your project instead of looking for a definition of a function or technique.

So case or situation oriented preparation is good.

For example we know that QVDs can be loaded Incrementally. and you can explain the insert, update and delete however it is important to define a situation how you used it in your dashboard data load.
