QMC User Access Settings

Hi All ,

I Installed Qlikview Server 11 , But In Document Information How to Enable the Option to Share the Documents Particular User.what changes i need to do to Enable the Option. Can Any One Suggest to me Right way .

In second picture just click on Authorisation then click the two heads to add a user from your domain.

Hi Damu,

You can add users for specific document by using following screen.

Go to QMC -> Documens -> User Document -> Document CALs.

You still need to give the users access to the QVW.

Yes it should be given user access for the specific QVW.

I think you have a SBE Licence, you have to give a licence (document CAL or Named CAL) to each user.
And more you have to allow access to users by NTFS security on the application.

Do you know what licenses \ authorization you have setup on your qlikview server?

If doesn't look like you have any document cals but I might be wrong.

Do you users have NTFS permissions to the documents on the windows server ?

Hi Vishal ,

Go to QMC -> Documens -> User Document -> There is no Option Enabled in QMC Server Document CALs.

It's Not an Related Setup For This Issue , Let I will try to Find out the Solution.

Hi,

With NTFS you will never see the Authorization tab. It only exists when NTFS is not enabled, that means, when DMS mode is enabled. If your license allows it (you will see a line in the LEF: QMC, System, Licenses, QlikView Server, DISABLE_DMS;YES;;) then check "DMS authorization" in the QMC in the page you are showing above, second.
