How to insert gif image into chart item?

Hi,

I have gif image from website. How can i insert this into qlikview chart item?

Hi, Amelia.

How are you planning to use it ?

If you want it to appear in a table, you can add it as an expression. In the expression tab, change the display option to image. Then put your gif address (surrounded by commas) in the definition with any criteria you want to trigger the image with.

If you want it to appear as a background image to a chart, go to Colours tab, click on image radio button in the Frame Background section and add your image.

Thanks. I would need to show this on the top of the bar as an alert. Is it possible. I have four chart items in container.

chart A, chart B,chart C,chart D. But I need this only in Chart A. Is it possible?

Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible for individual bars on a chart. I've never seen it done before.

Hi Amelia,

As far as I know, image can't be added in the way you need.

You can add it as a background image or as suggested by Neil (in the expressions).

Can you please post your QVW?

I think if you have a condition based on which you want to add an image on a specific bar then probably a combo chart with symbol option for second expression may work. You may not add external images but at least you can use the symbols to indicate the alert.

Please see attached. I have a button on one bar and instead of that button I need the image. B ut this image I need only in chart 1 but not chart 2. if possible

Thanks. This is good.I need the alert if it crosses 15-21 days. Is it possible. And how you got the bars in sheet3 for straight chart item? And more over I need images(gif images) instaed of alert is it possible?

Thanks. This is what I am looking. Can you please tell me how you are getting the bars in staright table because when I am doing it is showing in straight table. But I need bars.

EDIT: when i am giving if([Days Range]='15-21 days',Info(Type)) it is showing error in expression.

I'm using Gauge display option for the expression in the Straight table.

1. Use the expression max(aggr(count(ID),[Days Range])) in the Gauge Settings > Max

2. Uncheck "Show Scale"

3. Use Mode as Fill Value and single segment

Hide your table caption and Go to chart properties > style > Make Cell Background color transparency and

Cell Border Color Transparency to 100 %

Can you please also attach your qvw just wanted to check why the alert Image expression does not work.

The expression if([Days Range]='15-21 days',Info(Type)) should only display the image on 15-21 days.

I tried the expression if([Days Range]='15-21 days',Info(Type)) in your qvw and it is working fine.

That's really strange. Can you please copy the expression from here if([Days Range]='15-21 days',Info(Type))

and type and try. Because in the same QVW when I write the expression it works and shows only one Alert image.

What error you are getting. Can you just show me a screenshot of expression panel?
