Why I asked you because there is no link of Specif Chart vs Set Analysis...

Chart is an Object to show visualization and Set Analysis is a QlikView Function helping to achieve certain results.

If you want to know about charts, go to....

C:\Program Files\QlikView\Examples\Documents

and open Data Visualization.qvw which will give you some idea.

perhaps you'll can try straight table.

You can use amounts expressions shown in numbers and also you can put one or more mini graphs.

If you can, I recommend getting hold of the book 'Information Dashboard Design: The Effective Visual Communication of Data' by Stephen Few.

This details the best uses for charts depending on the data on some of the things to avoid when building dashboards.

Good book and worth a read.

Hi narayanan,

just something to keep in the back of your mind (out of my own experience here):

=> If you have a larger company_context and you are going to create more QlikView_apps, it might be preferable to have a m.o.l. uniform look and it might be desirable to have charts that are easy to navigate and easy to understand.

=> In that case, stay away from the more complex, albeit stylish, charts like pie_chart, block_chart, mekko_chart and the like - as much as possible, stick with bar-, line- and combocharts.

As for the specific example of sales_analysis, I cannot help you there, I've never done that, but I'm sure somebody here has written a blog or document on it.
