Hello All,

Iam planning to test the Nprinting product on QV in the development enviornment

Could you please help me on below.

1. What has to be taken care before installing this product.

2. What needs to be taken care after installation of this product.

Any additional advises would be useful for me.

Hi, Ben.

NPrinting opens QVWs by using the QlikView desktop API; it always requires a QlikView license. So you will need a spare licence available for NPrinting to use.

Yes we do have a license. Is it a direct installation or what is the procedure.

Hi Neil,

Yes I have installed a trial version for testing. I Intially tested some features, I would like to know how users could access this application. Should they install in their machines and do the adhoc reporting .

In server is it more used for scheduling and publishing?

I haven't used much the NPrinting.

i think the on demand works like an extension where as user select the report and export to PPT or Word in QlikView Dashboard. But the developer have to create the template. I doubt user can change the objects at runtime.

You can install the NPrinting client at the user system and let them create the templates.

It is more based on your requirement. you can find more details on the NPrinting site.

Hi, Ben.

The way that NPrinting is structured is that you would have developers with an NPrinting Client licence on their machines. They would need this to develop and test NPrinting functionality.

Users would be the recipients of the reports but would not need a licence to receive reports. However, if you are expecting the users to drive the generation of reports, you would need an NPrinting On-Demand licence for users to pull reports from a range made available by developers.

Lastly, if you are looking for users to select a report through a web site, NPrinting Portal would be required.

I want to download the N-Printing software, i dint found it any where.will you please share me the path to download, I have tried in qlikview official website, but no software in that too.

Hi, Reddy.

Log on to the Qlik website,

Select Support from the menu along the top and then select downloads from the dropdown.

By choosing the QlikView tab you will see a list of products on the left. NPrinting Server and Designer is at the bottom of the list .

If you have no login, go back to your Qlik Partner. If you have no Qlik Partner, find a Partner near you on the Qlik website and contact them. All Qlik Partners should now be able to support NPrinting queries.
