Hi All,

I just read the help document of QMC and have 2 questions about document timeout.

This is what the help document say about 'Document Timeout':

"Open documents take up valuable system resources (that is, memory space, RAM, is allocated) and should not be allowed to remain open when not in use. However, if a document is closed too quickly, the users may get longer delay times when accessing the document, because the server has to reopen it. This value controls for how long a document will be allowed to be unused before the QlikView Server (QVS) closes the document and reclaims the resources."

First, how to judge a document on server is in use or not. If 1 document is opened by only 1 user session. Is it true that the document is not in use if the user session be closed or exceed the max. inactiive session time?

Second, if the second user start a user session during the document timeout, is the selection same as when the first use closed his session?

And will the trigger(s) of this document which is set to be excuted when the document open be excuted?

Best regards,

zhou
