Hi first of all thanks for any help, I've spent quite a while on this and am 99% there but im struggling with the last 1% which makes me think I need to start again but would like it to be abit more guided. I have 3 types of data I need to display which does work properly on a gridchart but I cant get the gridchart to format properly hence the issue.

Data Requirements:

X axis = time

Yaxis = location

data point shading = speed.

so from this info I can work out at any time at any location the speed.(this I have done on a gridchart)

Format requirements:

data points preferably rectangles that are higher than they are wide

data points shouldn't leave a gap between, (similar to a line chart effect)

these are the things that a gridchart will not do! it mean when I have a large period of time the data points are barely visible and when I drill down there are epic gaps between points. also the gaps (white)also when not drilled down will effect the shading.

thanks for any help I realise this isn't an easy challenge
