    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi All,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I want to connect to a oracle database server.When I open edit script and click on connect I can not see 'Microsoft OLEDB provider for oracle' in the providers list.Do I need to configure or install something to get this provider?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are 2 ways to Connect to the database:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Create a ODBC system DSN and Test it. The connection made should be Successful.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Create a Connection String. Steps: Go to Edit Script of Qlikview than select Database OLEDB from Dropdown option click Connect Button and than choose"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server". After this go to Next, choose or write the server name than add Credentials or click Windows Authentication. Final Step, Click on the Test Connection. It should display the Message Successful.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope it works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

I believe that same was happening with you and Oracle. You must find correct provider for your machine and install it.
