How to add sheet objects to Report editor

How to add sheet objects to reports.

The Help page says

"Simply drag or double-click on any sheet object in the layout to put it in the report page preview".

There was a similar question in July and the answer by Vikas was:

".select the object which you want to set in report drag that object through mouse save with proper report".

But I can not work out how to do it.

I can not view the report panes and the document panes at the same time so how can I drag a sheet object into a report?

Double clicking on a sheet object just minimises/maximises it as usual.

Hi Mike,

Try resizing the document and report panes so you can see them both together. You should then be able to drag a table across to the report.

The report pane will only minimize or maximize, nothing in between.

Mike, are you able to click the Restore Down box in the Report Window and then drag the screen to size?

Thank you, that has solved it.

I didn't know that you could resize a minimized pane by grabbing and dragging the corner of the icon.

No worries, Mike. I'd be interested to hear how you go with the Report editor because I'm starting to experiment with it too.
