New to QV: Importing Excel file

Hello,

I just started using Qlikview today. I was able to 'edit script' and add an Excel file by using this demo:( Importing Data from Excel into QlikView - YouTube). When I tried saving this, I saved it as a qvw file. If I click on Edit Script again, I can see the script has incorporated the table I wanted to import.

However, when I try to see the table using Tableviewer, it shows me nothing. Also, when I try to add a list box, it doesn't show me a list of fields to choose from.

Could someone tell me what step I missed?

It sounds like you haven't reloaded the QVW file.

Once you create a script you need to execute it so that it loads the data.

To do this, from the main menu choose File/Reload or you can press Ctrl-R.

Please follow the qlikview manual. It contains all information. You can see youtube for reference.

Please reload the file as per Mark Said, and save the file.

Hi,

Could you post the text from 'Edit Script' after you saved the QVW-document ?
