Persist Security Info in connection string

Hi,

I am new to qlikview,I have been trying understand the concept of data loading and i came across the connection string used for the retrival of data from the database.In the connection strring i found a line of code

Persist Security Info=True;

By default its value is false.But in our application it is set to be true.Can anyone explain what exactly is Persist Security Info and when and based on what situations we set its value to be true and false

Hi,

That is not a QlikView thing - standard connection string property. Just Google it and you'll get loads of answers.

Pretty sure it is set to true if when setting up the connection it is configured to save the password.
