Moving from personal edition to Server

Hi,

I am working on a personal edition for developing a POC dashboard.

Now i Got a link from support team saying that i was approved license.

when i click the link it is showing me qlikview access point with no documents.

Now how would i access the server sandbox and also i want to move my dashboard from personal edition to server.

Please help in moving

That's quite a general question and the details probably depend on how your QV environment is set up.

I would suggest that you contact the support team responsible for your QV infrastructure, they should be able to supply you with all the information needed, and may also be empowered to resolve any issues easily.

You need to copy your application (qvd, txt, qvw) to your server in the mounted folders or root document folder.

Look it in QMC > System > Setup > Server > Folders.

i appreciate you reply.

What about my Development environment. i.e., my desktop environment.

I am running this with personal edition. I am afraid that its going to stop working after 30 days.

Is there any way i can use better than that?

Can you please explain how it works in a company environment.

We develop qvw files using desktop version and raise a IT request to move file from our local or a version control tool to the qlikview server mounted folder?

Is it how it works?

Hi,

Qlikview personal edition never expires, there is no such restriction.

If you have a server, then you can lease the license from the server to you desktop, or else you can buy Developer license, generally people lease license from server.

Generally QVW files are placed into the configured folders and reloaded.
