QV server license will expire within few days.

From qliktech we got control no as well as lef it will extend 1 year more.

my question is - If i will put control number and lef description in the specified area and apply it will it have any negative impact in the ongoing system?

if I will not apply those will qliktech automatically increase the license span?

It do not have any negative impact . If you apply latest LEF , it will extend for the period mentioned in LEF.

Hi Bulbuli,

Under your Server license settings in QMC, click the "Update License from Server" button to get the updated LEF file from the QlikView Licensing server.

If there is no internet connection on the server you will need to manually apply the LEF. Search the forums for "manual LEF" and you will find answers to how to do this.

you need to clear the License first and then Apply ... no Negative Impact will be there.

Hi,

The LEF will not get updated automatically. you have to apply the new license.

After entering the new control no select update license.

Hi,

We do licence updates on live systems all the time.

If your license has no changed options (like dms authorisation) there is no impact.

You need "refresh" your license on the server before it is recognised by Qlikview.

Or you can wait until it has expired. The qlikview server will then check if there was an update on your license.

You can also generate your license file manually via this link:

Manual LEF

and use that to update your server.

The license generated but now I need a control number,

My question is: Where can I get the control number?
