Hello Everybody,

I have an issue regarding the calculation of YTD.

The Requirement is customers have different brands from around the World ,

Each Brand have different period .Each brands has different month as the start of the year.

please Suggest some solution for this.I have also attached the qlikview for the reference.

Hi,

I think you have to add the starting month for each brand and use an if, ie if(Date>StartingDate ... in the expression.

Michele Barini: Thanks for your reply...i need to calculate YearToDate for the Financial year for some countries financial year will starting on Apr-11 say then i need to calculate the total SalesAmount for a period starting from

Apr-11 to mar-12 this is how i need to calculate..

Your qlikview document doesn't contain data that tells for each brand what its first month of the year is. There are no countries either in your data, and no information about the financial calendars per country. Unless you add that data to your document what you want is impossible.

Hi,

I would amend the model by creating an Asof table.

Brand - (Country ?) - Periods of YTD

I published a document a few time ago on calculating YTD : http://community.qlik.com/docs/DOC-4821

You need at least to add a brand field in your Asof table.
