Hello

We recently had Qlikview version 11 installed and we have and previously had applied section access to our Qlikview documents

We have noticed that our users have been able to access documents which they have not been set up to use via section access

We had no formal training on QEMC and have just noticed under Reload there is a tick box which we do not have ticked

Shoudl we have this ticked in order for section access to work?

If you enabled section access in your document and the user with admin rights is a different user than under which the Distribution Service is running on the server you can use this setting to specify the account that should be used to open and reload the document.

From the Server Reference Manual:

Data Protection

This setting allows you to select the username and password the Distribution Service should use when

opening this document.

The default configuration is for the QlikView Distribution service to use the Windows credentials that are

set for the service itself in the Windows Computer Management Console. Read more about section access

on "Section Access" on page 207.
