In QlikView I want to export the chart to excel and it has more rows in it like greater than 65000, which excel cannot store. What would be the way to export the report with lot of data.

Hi sateesh ... i am faceing the same issue i am able to export more than 100,000 rows to excel using IE Plugin but with Ajax I am able to export only 65,000 rows.

and what plug-in you are useing ?

Sateesh,

Excel 2003 doesnot store >65000 in a single sheet, but records>65000 should be seen in the next sheet

Excel 2007 & above stores upto a Million records

What version are you using and what is the issue?

Thanks for the reply. I think its 2003 and I will confirm that. But looks like >65000 stores in next sheet. I have to check that too.

I have another requirement in which client want to use QlikView for reporting. Sources are 3 CSV files and using QlikView they want to export the data into an single excel file with three CSV data in three separate tabs.

Is that possible, let me say again 3 CSV files into one Excel file in three individual tabs.

Looks like the Excel version. As Siddharth said Excel 2007 will resolve the issue.

When you load 3 csv files in QV, 3 tables will be created. If the fields are same, 1 table will be created.

If there are 3 tables in QV, 3 xls or csv files can be created by exporting.

If there is 1 table in QV, a single xls or csv can be created by exporting.

Mention the no of final tables in QV and the objects that you are using to export to excel

This is just a requirement and didnt get any info abt no of table and the object using to export to excel.

Lets say we have three different table, so can it be stored in one excel sheet with three different tabs.

And another thing, is there a way to export data from QV other than excel.

In a nutshell, you will need to use macros to achieve that you have mentioned.

You can export to PDF, other than excel.

You need to have PDF Writer(QV Downloads) installed + Macros to execute.

There are other 3rd party softwares like CutePDF available as well!

Thanks for the reply Siddharth. Sounds good. It will work for Developer, but an higher official will access QV reports through Access point and how will he print it out, if we install CutePDF or PDF Writer in our system.

hi, i am useing excel 2010 but i still get stuck at 65,000 when exporting to excel using Ajax-client.

and satheesh if your data exporting to excel is not too huge you can convert to PDF in excel itself. i have this option in excel 2010 but i do not know about earlier versions.
