    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Join Merges two tables in to one.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But Keep does the functionlaity as what join does and leaves the tables as it is.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Example:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Table1: has Field1 and Field 2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Table2: has Field2 and Field3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you do the join between table1 and table2&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Table1 has the fields : Field1, Field2, Field3&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in case you do Keep then: Table structure won't change but only change happens to data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Celambarasan&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

For basic understanding from manual see &lt;A _jive_internal="true" href="https://community.qlik.com/message/169412#169412http:"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For further knowledge PFA.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To answer as main difference : Join produces single table whereas, Keep keeps both the tables.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
