from Axes tab in ur chart properties you can set font for ur every expression ( x axis and Y axis) and in presentation tab u can set font for ur legend part.

Hi would appreciate any guidance on workflow / techniques to manage font sizes in qlikview charts as it is not obvious to me

I would like to be able to independently size the text for x and y axis labels , x and y axis measures and the data labels on a bar chart.

As it is some are too big and others too small to be legible and there seem to be boxes to control the font in many different places

Thanks in advance

Thanks but still not quite getting it in the example below there is a difference in font between the y axis points and the data label.

If I go into the Axis pane and change the font both of the fonts change but maintain the ratio. Whereas for example I wish to make the x axis text smaller than the data label text. It seems that some of the font controls manage individual elements and others groups.

Sorry if I am not getting something obvious

OK I have done some more playing and think I have it now but if someone can confirm I would be grateful.

So using the above example

Axes - Expressions - Font - Changes the y axis label and the data label font

Axes - Dimensions - Font - Changes the x axis font

Over and above this though you can change the relationship of the y axis and data label fonts as follows

Expressions - expand the expression and select text format - applying the definition '<Hx>' will change the ratio with the y axis remaining fixed whereas

x=4 - ratio is one to one

x>4 - data label is bigger than the y axis

x<4 - data label is smaller than the y axis

Now all that remains is for the data label to auto scale depending on the numbers of columns displayed on the graph !!
