so my table has 2 dimension, date and category, one expression some kind of ratio. i know technically the function is depending on this expression. what i don't understand why itchose those the categories it choose.

I want to default the chart to 5 categories if no selection is made.. can someone explain what first 5 and largest 5 would give me. when i used largest 5, there are over 10 categories displayed. i suspect it's looking across all categories and all dates. i used global grouping mode, things look better. but i still want to understand how qlikview rank this. is there a way for me to predefine the default display, by user's selection on brand?

say when categories are not selected, if user select brand A, display categories 1-5, if user select brand B, display categories 10-15.
