Learning Qlikview

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to Qlikview.

I have got the Personal Edition installed on my laptop.

My queries/concerns are like:

1.How to prepare my mind or align myself with qlikview so that I can think in the way which object to use in what type of visualization scenarios.

2.If someone can help me with some generic design principles to be kept in mind while developing qlikview apps i.e. time related objects to be kept at top.

Like this some general conventions that we use while desiginig user interface.

3.If a list is there like which all topics are important or need more focus while learning.

4.Any website/source from where I can download some sample data to play with,using which I can design sample applications.

5.Some good already developed sample applications which can come handy while learning.

Any other point you would like to mention which needs to be kept in mind while learning Qlikview or any other helpful website/pointer/files/tutorials.

Please help me with any relevant information.

Start off with some Free QlikView Training. After that read the Qlikview 11 for Developers book. Work through that book and do all the exercises. That should cover questions 1,2,4 and 5. There's no list about all the important topics. That differs for everyone. First determine what you need to do, then find out which features Qlikview offers to realise that and then study those topics to find out how to actually do it. In other words learn as you go according to your needs.

for quick learning of qlikview.

The best way is to read the manual and start creating an app of your own.

Hi,

If you have installed QlikView go to you to your c drive and click qliview and gp through manual and practise the exercise included

It's very add to say what you have to know everything about QlikVIew is important to know.
