looking to create a chart

Does anyone have an example of a qv document that can produced this type of chart?

The red is downtime, the yellow is not scheduled and the green is uptime.

I have raw data that looks like this:

I have something very much like that for raw data very much like that, but not an example file. I used a stacked bar chart that was sideways. This worked fine in version 9, but stopped working in version 10. It seems that in version 10, unless your first bar segment is visible, you can't see any other bar segments. So I could see the full date range of data, but when I tried to zoom in on a particular day, say, I couldn't see anything.

In version 10 I'm currently suffering with a line chart. Make the line width 10 (the widest), and use the background color expression to color each segment based on the event. I think that's how I have it set up. I can come up with an example tomorrow if you can't work it out from there.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would you happen to have q qvw that you could send me. I currently use v8.5, but have v10 available.

I’m having a little trouble visualizing your solution.

OK, I've built an example. The upper chart is the line chart approach that I'm currently using in version 10. The lower chart is the bar chart approach that I was using in version 9. I don't have version 9 on my machine any more, so all I see is a blank chart for the lower chart, but it was cut and paste from the chart that was working in version 9, so I'm guessing that you'll see data in v8.5 as well. I definitely prefer the bar chart visually if it works.

Both charts are using some set analysis for the min and max X-axis value, but I think everything in there was available in 8.5. If something goes seriously haywire, you might try putting in a purely static min and max just to see the charts.
