Qlikview 10 upgrade; printpreview problems

Dear users,

I have upgraded my qlikview last week, I had version 9. When I run a report and before printing I use the function PRINT PREVIEW, Qlikview doesn't react anymore after that. I have to restart the program. Is this a bug??

It is working fine for me. Try using a few labels and a small calculation. Chances are you might have a chart with many calculations and it is just taking a long time to process the data into the print preview "view".

We have been using these reports in QV 9, every week. We hadn't had any problems like now....

don't think its the calculation..

Ok. When you are referring to reports, you mean the menu option Reports right?

Ok, still try to use a small calculated table and a few labels just to make sure your installation is not corrupted when you performed the upgrade.

Side note, I assume this document was created in Version 9 and you have since reloaded and saved as Version 10, correct?

Hi Scott,

Created a small report. When using print preview the system doesn't crash, but it does not show me the correct preview, the preview is blank...

I would recreate one of your bigger ones that was failing before, just to see if "refreshing" the report will fix it. I have not run into this problem before, so I am just suggesting things I would try if this happened to me.

Just curious, when you say "preview" is blank, do you mean the whole report appears blank or just an object looks blank? EX: I had a straight table that displayed as "blank" (only saw a black outline of the table). Turned out that the table had many rows so I had to "add a multi-page" and put the table in that instead (which allowed the table to take up many pages). I also had to change the "Stretch" property to "Clip" (instead of Fill or Fill with Aspect) within the Item Settings (right click on the item/object in report). Not sure if that was an issue, but I know other folks had this problem.

When upgrading to QV10 you should also upgrade the plugins - it is always recommended to have same versions of plugins from server to desktop
