Use dates in set analysis

Could please someone answer my question, its driving me a Little bit mad.

The situation is like this:

We take a snapshot of our warehouse situation of materials everyday and at the end of the week we discard them except for the Sunday one, that we save as a weekly and at last day of the month we save a Monthly.

What I want to do is to calculate the difference between two dates that i choose, one StartDate and One StopDate

the fields that I have is :

StockDate

OnhandBalance

CreatedByschedule

StartDate is not connected to Stockdate or StopDate but the same format

StopDate is not connected to Stockdate or StartDate but the same format

Is it possible to set the Stockdate as the chosen startDate in A Set analyses? Something like this:

Sum({<StockDate={'StartDate'}>}OnhandBalance)
