Hi, Gysbert.

Thanks for that. Because the script execution process appears on screen it also enables users to see when the other app has completed reload. So no need for a specific message to tell them.

Many thanks,

Neil.

Is it possible to have a button in a front end QV app that will trigger a reload of another document ( in this case a QVD Generator) ?

If so, how do you do it ?

As a bonus query, I've been asked if it is possible to also trigger a message to say that the reload has completed. Again, is this possible ?

Thanks,

Neil

You could try a Launch action, choose the qlikview executable as application, the document you want to reload as filename and /r as parameter. Mind, you won't be able to use Qlikview until it's done reloading your document. I don't think you can do this as a background job.
