That way you can resize the column with the expression labels independently of the dimension columns. So the problem with changing it to a straight chart is I am unable to have my dates on the top. So I'm assuming there is no way around this? It's either dates on top (via pivot table) and no control over column width or straight table (via straight chart) and sacrificing dates on top but having control over column width.
