I recently upgraded our QlikView server from QV 10 to QV 11 R2. Everything went smoothly, all reloads except one reloaded without an error. This one QVW document gave us this error:

2.3.2013 23:01:25 Error The sourcedocument failed to open.. Exception=System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80004005): Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

 at QlikView.Global.SetUserPreferences(IUserPreferences _Preferences)

 at QVBWrapper.Document.Load(ILogBucket i_LogBucket, Boolean withData)

2.3.2013 23:01:25 Error The document failed to open.

2.3.2013 23:01:26 Error Document could not be opened

When I reloaded it a second time, the error didn't occur. I was thinking if anyone knew what it ment and how to avoid it from happening again.

Thanks in advance,

Gunnar

It looked like the Trend Micro antivirus software was the couse of the problem. The virusscan exception paths we had setup in Trend Micro had disappeared.
