I want to show Serial No. in front end in the report. How can it be done.

Hi,

You can add rowno(Total) as an expression in your chart/table, and promote it to the first column.

It's not working when i apply this on my report it's showing as '-' & disappearing the report further.

write in script where you load your table like

load a,

c,..............,

rowno() as count

from table;

hope it helps.

then in front end in your expression use count it will automatically made field

Hey this works when we take this in expressions & not in calculated dimension. Also if we are showing pivot table then this will be of no help because we can't promote this before the dimensions.
