I am new to qlikview,i want to learn how to write expressions and the keywords involved.please suggest me the ways.if any one has the material or links do share with me.

Best source of study is QlikView refrence manual, check out QlikView demo apps expressions, read help and finally try to explore the Community

You may find our new book "QlikView 11 for Developers" useful:http://community.qlik.com/thread/67798 It takes a more guided approach to learning QlikView than the reference manual.
