This is a -very- good book to start with. I was new to QlikView about a month ago. I went through this book (via Safari books online) and between that and reading through the reference manual a couple times I have a pretty good basic handle on QlikView now. I would highly reccomend this book. It will give you the best "starting" information out there I think. It will actually step your through creating a full blown application while explaining how to use QlikView and give you some "best practicies". I'm still trying to get a full grip on Set analysis and some of the advanced aggregation features but it will just take time to become more proficient with those.
