Dear all,

I'm in the middle of the troubles, because I've a strange request from my sales manager. He wants to compare two different months in different years.

For example:

he wants to match sales data between June 2012 with December 2011

Is there a method to solve it ?

Set analysis and two separate fields for periods selection (If you use QV10).

And I guess some new features of QV11.

I'm using the QV10 PE, but I'm newer and not versed in set analisys.

Do you have an example ?

Consider you have two separate tables with two fields for periods selection.

'Period1' and 'Period2'

Let's also assume that your period field named 'Period'.

Then to calculate the sum of some Value for Period1 you can use expression:

=SUM({<Period=P(Period1)>} Value)

And for Period2

=SUM({<Period=P(Period2)>} Value)

respectively.
