Customizing Partial sums

Hi Guys,

is there a way to customize partial sums, and make them have the value of the previous dimension?

for example if i have category then subcategory then products in hierarchy. i want a partial sum on subcategory

but i dont want the label to be just "Total" i want it like "Total Subcategory XXX" where "XXX" is the value of the previous dimension that is Subcategory

i found other threads on that and i am not sure i found that they have replied..

please guide me to other threads if my question is a duplicate... thanks.

I also want to ask the same question, is there anybody know a way to do so? Or is it a mission impossible?

You can add a partial sum and a label at the presentation tab of the pivot table properties. Pick the dimension you want the partial sum for and set the label.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this welsa_chy?

I would like to make the partial sum, in a pivot table, a 'count' rather than a 'sum'. I'm finding it hard to work out how to do it. Maybe the functionality isn't there

Can anyone shed any light on this?
